- Predefined playlists by business type, curated by DJs and music specialists.
- Minimum playlist duration of 60 hours to avoid repetition.
- Music scheduling calendar to program changes by day, week, or season.
- Dynamic music adaptation based on external variables such as weather, footfall, customer turnover, pedestrian traffic, and Google Popular Times.
2. Location and zone management
Centralized visibility of all zones and locations where music is played:
- Control of multiple stores from a single dashboard.
- Complete list of zones with playback status and real-time monitoring.
- Offline playback support through downloaded playlists that do not rely on internet connectivity.
- Flexible assignment of playlists to each store, area, or device.
3. Content and advertising management
Management of all audio content played in-store:
- Support for music and voice advertisements generated by AI or uploaded manually.
- AI-powered creation of audio ads, ready to be inserted into music programming.
- Ability to integrate promotional messages within playlists.
- Explicit content filtering to ensure brand-safe music in commercial environments.
- Association of ads with specific campaigns or defined schedules.

Precise control over where, when, and to whom music and ads are played:

DEX Music offers two music catalog options, allowing each business to choose the model that best fits its brand strategy, operational needs, and legal requirements:
Commercial catalog (SGAE)
Provides access to well-known commercial music that is subject to public performance rights.
- Requires a DEX Music license for platform access and music services.
- Requires payment of the public performance fee to the SGAE. This fee is managed externally and is not included in the DEX Music license.
Alternative catalog (royalty-free)
A catalog composed exclusively of music licensed for commercial use.
- No public performance or SGAE fees are required.
- Provides legal simplicity, predictable costs, and full compliance.
- Ideal for brands focused on cost efficiency or a controlled and distinctive audio identity.
This dual-catalog approach allows DEX Music to adapt to different business strategies — from brands that want to use mainstream commercial music to those that prioritize operational efficiency, budget control, or a fully managed sound identity.
Do I need to pay SGAE?
Yes, if commercial music subject to public performance rights is used in a commercial or hospitality venue in Spain. If the alternative royalty-free catalog is selected, no SGAE payment is required.
